We recently got the Sicotas Helio 2-Door Arched Bookcase for our master bedroom and overall we’ve been really happy with it. The finished product looks much more high-end than I expected for the price. The wood color is beautiful in person, and the arched top gives it a really unique, elegant look that stands out compared to typical bookshelves. It honestly reminds me of Ikea-style furniture, but nicer.

The assembly process was very similar to Ikea furniture, which I personally don’t mind at all. All of the pieces were clearly labeled with removable letter stickers, and the instructions were easy to follow. Nothing felt confusing during the process.

A couple parts of assembly were a little tedious though. The two arch pieces at the top were definitely the hardest part because everything has to line up perfectly for the screws to catch the receiving threads correctly. Since you’re using an Allen wrench with slow quarter turns, that section took some patience. The screw clips for attaching the back panels were also a little annoying just because there are so many of them (I think around 25), but it’s manageable if you just take your time.

Total assembly time for me was around 2 hours.

Once finished though, it came out really nice and feels sturdy when secured to the wall. I also like how tall it is without feeling bulky. Overall, very happy with the finished product and would recommend it if you like modern furniture with a softer, more elegant look and are okay to spend the time assembling it.

this piece is beautiful. The only reason I have it 4 stars was because it was missing a connector piece for the top arch, but nothing a nut and bolt can’t fix. I want to buy more of this stuff!
